- Anonymous posted on Mon Jun 12 2006We just got back from Oasis Playa. We
were four single ladies travelling
together. There were hardly any other
singles at the resort. It wasn't truly an
all-inclusive - many items were an
additional surchage, ie. safe in room,
steak, lobster, alcohol, etc. Some of our
jewelry went missing from our room.
There was no bar fridge in our room, no
water, no pop, no drinks. All of the bars
closed pretty early at the resort. They
say that you can use the sister resorts,
but you need a day pass, and there are
restricted times when you can visit.
There is quite the distance between them
also, you would need to take the bus.
The beach, ocean and weather were
absolutely fabulous. There were alot of
Brits there, and some were incredibly
rude and ignorant, we did however meet
some nice ones. No other Canadians
though. The nightly entertainment was
pretty pathetic, and I didn't see any
theme nights. The disco was absolutely
dead. The night snack consisted of a
mystery meat sandwich with a piece of
cheese and tomato. Yuck! None of us
would ever go back.
- Anonymous posted on Sat May 20 2006me and my family stayed at oasis playa
in october 2005 when hurricane wilma
hit. The staff looked after us so well, they
were really friendly and we can not wait
till we go back. The rooms, pools and
food were all brilliant, we didn't have a
complaint about anything. If u decided to
go to Cancun stay at oasis playa as the
staff are wonderful and you are certain
to have a fantastic holiday.
- Mary Townsend posted on Fri Dec 30 2005We were their(6) in my party, family on
Oct16th,for 12 days.We were caught in
the hurricaine Wilma. We can never thank
the staff,Carla,and I think Frank,anyway
he told me he worked the night shift in
the hotel before the hurricaine. They were
above and beyond their duties.They
never ceased trying to make us as
confortable as possible.We will always
remember how well we were taken care
of by the hotel. We did not want for food
or water through the whole ordeal.I just
sing enough praise about the way we
were well taken care during those days
we had to wait before it was safe to
leave. My sister in law made a joke
saying if they interviewed her when we
arrived home she said she was going to
tell them"if you got to do a hurricaine do
it in Cancun.(smile).Hats off to Oasis
Playa,Iam sorry it took me so long to
write this ,again THANK YOU.
