Oasis Cancun

If you're not 14 to 23y.o.a. DON' T GO here!!!! Full of 90% young (under age+) drunk rude kids with NO control and the resort does nothing to stop them. They're only concern is trying to get "time share" agreements out of anyone over 30 (very few of us). They even offer a free bottle of tequilla (that never came)Another ploy is a $25. gift certicate for a day spa..the joke is they don't tell you its one hour away, they drop you off and leave you stranded there for 6 hours and the cheapest thing to have done is $115. each for a massage!!! We paid for a taxi back...the hotel staff seemed only disappointed that they didn't screw us completely. Room had mold! Restaurants were very poor quality food and trying to get passed 100's of kids at the bar to try to get a drink was a hassel. Then, when you do they are SO watered down you need at least a shot on the side to even taste it. The kids are allowed to party LOUDLY..very loudy in the halls, lobby and right outside your door till at least 4am..sometimes 6 a.m.!!! Again, the staff does NOTHING and sees nothing wrong with disrupting their "money source". They can have it!! Never again!

We stayed at the Oasis, even after reading the reviews. The air did not work. We begged the entire time. I think they have the air set at 84F. The rooms flooded. The drain did not work in the tub. The food was not bad at all, in some of the places. The chinese restaurant and the Mexican restaurant were delicious. Would I stay at an Oasis again? Emphatically, NO.

What do you guys fucking expect. This hotel is studentcity's headquarters. This is where all spring breakers plan their trips. You are the stupid ones for not knowing that.

I went with my family in July and I will never return to this hotel. Yes like some said if your there to simply party and don't really care about little things then go for it. Our room was clean and everything worked properly except the fridge. Our keys didn't work twice and our room was given to another couple when we were already settled in the room. Some of the people that worked there were rude, specially at reception. The food wasn't that great and we had the black wristband which allowed us to go everywhere. Go here if your looking for what the comment from jeff said......

Re: Anonymous posted on Mon Apr 28 2008 I too am one of those old whiners you referred to in your comment. I did not enjoy being locked out of my room daily only to be told that the door lock needed a simple battery replaced which maintenance could not do till after I left. There was no room service most of the time (24 hour room-service) however, you were expected to wait in long lines or perhaps be put on an even longer waiting list or just simply turned away because staff was not putting any more names on the list (I guess you feel a few mist meals will toughen those whinny kids up). The food was of a very poor quality even for a country with few regulations this crap was unacceptable for a quality hotel. (this must have been the rotten pussy smell you were refereeing to that so eagerly brought you to Cancun). Oh Yes, the drinks supplied daily in your room amounted to 3 beers and a few soft drinks (good luck getting a restocked or fresh towels). I will agree with you that if you travel to Cancun during spring break then you should not complain about wild parties or loud noises, but for those families that travel to an all inclusive summer resort should not expect ill-mannered behavior and rude service. And if your name "Anonymous" is any indication on what exactly you were researching, then good luck on your next test you won’t even have to study for this one.

I submitted a review, but didn't see it posted. This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. The air conditioner barely worked, took 3 days for the TV to get fixed, the young adults were disrepectful, loud, hollering, yelling and drunk all during the night, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 AM. I have no problem with having fun, that's what vacation is all about, but these kids must not have any formal upbringing. The pool was dirty, who knows what was in there. The place is just too big for proper management. We will not ever stay there any time soon. We paid alot of money for this vacation and definetly did not get what we paid for. I do not recommend it to anyone.

To have paid the money that we paid to stay at the hotel, it was not worth a dime. I would not recommend anyone to stay there. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax and enjoy your vacation, this is NOT the place to stay. The young adults partied all night long. We tried to ignore it, but it was impossible, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6:00 in the morning, yelling, screaming, doors slamming. Very disrespectfull of other guests and they didn't care. It is not a place to bring your family. Children are exposed to things that they should not see at their age. I wished I had done more research on this horrid place before I booked our vacation. It was hot, the room was hot, the pool was nasty. The really only good thing about staying here was the restrauants and coming home. They were good, except the Tatish was hot, no air conditioning at all. Our TV did not work and it took about 3 days to get that fixed. We checked in (we thought) early and got our arm bands, then when 3:00 PM came around, we had to stand in line again to get our room key. They have very poor hotel management for a resort this size.

Where do I start...I went with my 2 sisters after saving enough money to have a decent vacation. The hotel is not 5 stars, starting with the service..what a horror!!! This was a very sad experience for all of us. After the second day in the hotel the maid stole from us $2,000 and when I went to make the complain the recepcionist basically laughed at me and insulted me. Instead of apologizing for the incident she blamed me for not having spent my money before..can you believe this?? I had to call the police because the staff was definetely not willing to cooperate with the situation. I do not want to go back to mexico ever and it's a shame that the image I have of mexicans have been tainted. First the thieve, and then the rude and insulting staff. PLease, Avoid this hotel and always keep your money safe.

I stayed here about 10 years ago before Cancun got overrun by children from college. My guess is that the hotel now caters to this group and has let it get run down. They probably got tired of removing beer bottles and cans from the toilets and have just left them there for your next visit. Pity.
